FREE Local Organic Business Advertising on Yahoo, Bing and Google Places

FREE Local Organic Business Advertising

On Yahoo, Bing and Google Places

This will work for any business and a great opportunity for any small business owner.

One way to get your page up in the Search engines is to optimize it for local searches. If you have ever wondered how your competition shoows up as a local listing and a map this is how you get your self up there too!

Benefits of Local Searches

An excellent benefit of local searches is that you can eliminate a lot of your competition based on your location. Another benefit is that you can provide detailed information about your business to search engines that wouldn’t necessarily be available to searchers otherwise. For example, if you submit your site to Google’s Local Business Center, you can give Google your business’s address and phone number. That way, when a searcher searches for a service your business provides, she’ll see your business on a map, along with your phone number. This makes your business more visible on the Web.

Setting Up Your Site for Local Searches

To set up your site for local searches, go to a search engine’s local area and submit your organization’s name, address, phone number, and website. For Google, go to Google’s Local Business Center at http://www.google.com/local/add/. Yahoo!’s local business center is at http://listings.local.yahoo.com/csubmit/, and the MSN local section is at https://ssl.search.live.com/listings/BusinessSearch.aspx.

Submitting Your Site for Local Searches

If your business provides services to a local area or multiple areas, you may want to include your page in local searches. The only reason you wouldn’t want to submit your site to local search engines is if your business doesn’t provide any type of local services and all of you provide local services.
Another good tip is to have geotags added on your own web site. I am putting them on all of customers sites right now. Search engines will use your latitude and longitude to help local shoppers and also get you added on other pages because you support geo tagging.

Defund USDA Wildlife Control Services

(Fort White) Many do not know it but as Federal and State Budgest are shrinking and every government agency is being asked to make deep budget cuts in staff and services provide a little known agency is not only growing but  actually flourishing in these tough economic times.

Local business’s are being shuttered down and government growing in a sector that even the agency states as a policy directive that it will not compete yet their actions speak volumes and putting more and m,ore local business’s out of work and needing public assistance in some cases.

George Cera back in 2007 began trapping the iguana on Gasparilla Island for Boca Grande Charlotte County Florida. To his credit he trapped over 12000 iguanas and well documented as one of the top iguana trapping experts in the country.

Listen to Cody Baciouska who offers specialized wildlife and bird control to federal airports and now losing business to USDA Wildlife Services.

Join us in our grassroots efforts to stop USDA Wildlife Services from taking more work from the private sector. If State legislators need something to cut by all means look at not matching state fund expenses that can be cut by discontinuing doing business with USDA Wildlife Services.

Every state in the union can cut budget money by longer having to match federal funds for USDA Wildlife Services. Every governor in the US can find money by simply stop matching federal funds for wildlife control projects that can be done by local business. George Cera put it best when he had the contract he put the money back into the community. The new truck was never purchased from the local dealer and the hiring of USDA in the end has hurt the local economy in many ways!
