I went over the 6 things you need to do with Facebook to be successful as a small business person trying to use social marketing as a means of marketing your business on a shoestring budget.

1) Build a Facebook page (type create in the space bar )

2) Add Business Contacts and build a local following. I have told you how here but you will need to get the rest on the podcast.

3) Start A Facebook Group

4) Buy Facebook advertising PPC. If your target audience is on Facebook and not using Google or yahoo they will see your local business message. I am not trying to sell their advertising I am only sharing it is there an can work for you.

5) Use Facebook Marketplace . Its free and it works just like Craigslist. The difference between Facebook advertising and the market place is your audience has to be on the Facebook marketing and to read your message .

6)Promote your blog and web sites on Facebook . Set up feeds from your blog to Facebook. Give the the visitor a reason to visit your web site. Put a widget from Facebook on your web site . Connect all of your web properties to your social network.
